Office of the UF-HSC Assistant VP for Information Services/CIO
The office of the UF-HSC Assistant VP for Information Services/CIO is dedicated to providing leadership, coordination and support to enhance the effectiveness of the UF Health Science Center and its constituent parts through a variety of information services (IS). We are succesful if the people we serve are succesful.
- Create and convene an information services advisory model (i.e. the HSC Information Services Advisory Counsel) taking into consideration the complexity and diversity of our HSC organization.
- Provide guidelines and policy on matters relating to the use and implementation of information services
- Foster collaboration
- Recommend priorities for effort and funding
- Plan projects
- Project Queue management
- Create, promote and maintain a collaborative and supportive information services environment for the HSC community
- Create services based on user needs
- Enhance existing services driven by user needs
- Reduce duplication of services when appropriate
- Create a well defined, supported, funded and communicated services provisioning model and associated processes
- Create a well defined, supported, funded and communicated model and processes for upgrading and maintaining information services assets and facilities
