- In cooperation with the DSR and S-VPHA, AISS is facilitating the installation of a new Storage System to accommodate growing research activities across UF and the HSC. This storage system will be used to expand existing research storage requirements, facilitate retention of de-identified VA data, and allow grant funded storage to be purchased economically. The system has capacity to scale to 1PB. Initial provisioning of storage (25-30TB) will be available to all HSC/COM research units in late July 2008. - IT Center Systems Administration Team (ITCSA) will busy in June expanding their TSM capacities both in Gainesville and Tallahassee. Additional LTO Libraries and LTO drives will be added to both sites concurrently. Capacities will be approximately doubled from today availabilities. New costing models will be developed for any new consumers effective June 2008 and existing consumers beginning July 2009. The cost structure will be based upon LTO usage per pool per unit.

- ITCSA has completed the final build of HSC UFAD Exchange 2007. Several migrations are underway from our Clustered Exchange 2003. This will be a "No Cost" service to all HSC consumers. All services will align with UFAD Exchange 2007 with the exception of Managed Folders and Barracuda operations. Contact itcsa@health.ufl.edu for more information.
