UF-HSC Academic Information Systems and Support (AISS)

AISS is a support organization in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs. AISS provides a number of information services to a variety of customer groups.

AISS Vision: To enhance the effectiveness of the UF-Health Science Center through pro-active, collaborative and innovative information services.

AISS Mission: To provide leadership and support for the effective utilization of information services aligned with missions, needs, and objectives of the UF Health Science Center.

Information Services: The processes, knowledge, systems, tools, and training used in creating, capturing, processing, storing, sharing, and securing information.


The information services provided by the AISS organization include:

  • Operation and maintenance HSC-Wide Network Infrastructure,
  • Application Support (Serves HSC and selected user groups in support of HSC-wide and stand alone applications),
  • Desktop and Customer Support (Serves selected customer groups),
  • Data Center services (Serves HSC and selected user groups in support of HSC-wide and stand alone services),
  • Training (Serves HSC),
  • Security (Serves HSC. Miscellaneous selected HSC Core-Level Security Services, applications and support are centrally provided to all HSC faculty, staff and students),
  • Classroom and Laboratory Support including equipment and audio visual (Serves HSC), and
  • Distance Learning/Video Conferencing (Serves HSC).
