HSC ISAC - IT Architecture/Infrastructure Council Charge
(Approved by ISAC – Revised September 13, 2007)

 

The University of Florida Health Science Center (HSC) is complex from both an organizational and technical perspective.  Information technology provides opportunities to assist the HSC in fulfilling its Educational, Research, Clinical and Service missions and business functions by determining and subsequently implementing an appropriate HSC-wide architecture and IT infrastructure. 

The HSC ISAC IT Architecture and Infrastructure Council, serving under the direction of HSC ISAC and HSC Leadership is charged to:

  • Investigate and recommend effective, efficient and sustainable HSC-wide IT Standards pertaining to HSC-wide architecture and IT infrastructure.
    The HSC-wide Architecture should address:
    • Business Architecture
    • Information Architecture
    • Information-Systems Architecture
    • Technology Infrastructure Architecture
    • Software Architecture
    • Shared (common to all) services, related standards and feasibility for inclusion in HSC IT Infrastructure.
  • Recommend, as needed, additions/modifications to Architecture and IT Infrastructure to ISAC for review and approval.
  • Develop and implement approved processes for developing and updating policies and standards pertaining to Architecture and IT Infrastructure in response to new and changing user needs, business requirements, scale and scope, technology and regulations.
  • Review, investigate, and prioritize project proposals for standards, architecture and infrastructure requirements and impact. Provide recommendations.  Monitor progress of recommend projects. 
  • Develop and obtain approval for Project Charters for above charges from HSC Leadership through ISAC.
  • Recommend, as needed, additions/modifications to IT Architecture/Infrastructure Council membership to ISAC for review and approval.

Meets monthly and as needed.
