- PharmD program offered via distance education; has allowed the College to more than double the student body to meet pharmacist shortage in Florida.
- For the Working Profession Pharm.D. (WPPD) program, the college employs an additional 58 part-time faculty to help teach students across the U.S.
- The WPPD program includes nearly 700 students across the U.S., Europe, South Korea and Brazil.
- Distance Education Masters Degree in Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Serology to over 215 students around the world.
- Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist PharmD/PhD tract has been developed to train and attract clinical pharmacists into translational research as part of the NIH Roadmap Initiative.
Research
- $9.0M level of external funding revenues, of which $7.1M or 78.4% was generated from federal sources (NIH and USDA).
- Nationally renowned scientist, Dr. Bergeron, has two agents in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials designed to treat liver cancer (hepatoma) or heavy metal toxicity (iron overload).
- Pharmacogenomics emphasis is the research future of our Department of Pharmacy Practice.
- Research in Drug Delivery systems involving nanotechnology and non-vector gene delivery.
