VIDIS WORKSTATIONS

Setting up the student workstations takes a few steps that are not normally done with our other VPHA machines.

1.  Start with a clean machine.  Ghosted or done with the NT disk manually.

2.  Make sure that the machine has the current version of the Client.  The one on the assimilator will do

3.  Make sure that the machine has at least SP4

4.  Login as "install"

5.  Rename machine something Unique (VIDIS_LAB)

6.  Reboot the machine

7.  Login as "install" go to the desktop management icon on the task bar next to the red N "Novell Desktop Management"

8.  Double click on the desktop management click once on the Workstation Registration click "Run Now"

*  At this point notify SA. Be sure to include the workstation name and hardware address. Chuck has done the documentation on this.

9.  Logout and restart

10. Login localy as "administrator"

11. Go to start settings control panel go to system and click on the enviroment tab.  Change the cpucx to .druginfo_profile.vpha.hsc.ufl

12. Shutdown and reboot

13. Login with any gator link ID ".userid.1stinital of user id.users.ufl" example burleyj ".burleyj.b.users.ufl"

14. NAL should run go to application explorer go to ALL then go to NoCTX1_0 NT run that and restart the machine.

15. Run the applications and you should be done.
