How do I edit files on my web site?

Approved IP addresses

File share access is limited to certain approved IP address ranges. You must either be on one of the approved HSC address ranges or use the UF VPN to connect. Approved address ranges include IP addresses starting with the following sets of numbers:

  • 10.4.14.
  • 10.241.64.
  • 128.227.157.
  • 128.227.181.
  • 159.178.
If your computer's IP address does not start with one of these values, you should first connect to the UF VPN before proceeding.

Mapping to the WEB volume

Begin by right-clicking on the My Network Places icon on your desktop, and selecting the option Map Network Drive... The following dialog box will appear:
Select an unused drive letter for Drive, and enter the Folder as shown. If you are currently logged onto a computer in the UF Active Directory, you can now click Finish and begin accessing your files on the drive letter you specified.

If you are not currently logged onto the UF Active Directory, you should click on the different user name link. The following dialog box will appear:
For User name, enter your Gatorlink username followed by @ad.ufl.edu. Enter your Gatorlink password in the Password field, and click Ok. You will be returned to the Map Network Drive dialog box, where you can now click Finish. Your files will now be accessible on the drive letter you specified.
