Systems Administration Team

The IT Center Systems Administration Team provides core commodity IT services to any HSC customer. Services include disaster recovery, centalized virus protection, network operating systems support, desktop operating system integration, delivery of applications, E-mail, mobile email, calendar services, web hosting, database hosting, and file and print services. Currently, our Team consistent of five Systems Administrators cross-trained on all supported service platforms.

Expand data service boundaries to consistently align comparable services across the HSC Enterprise.

 

Facilities and Equipment / Infrastructure and Capacities

All services are provided from our Secure Enterprise Data Center with State of the Art redundant high availability infrastructure components. We are located on the Third Floor of the HSC Communicore Building (Room C3-022).

  • Two XIOTech Magnitude 3D 3000sStorage Area Network (Four Disk Types with approximately 85 TB RAW Storage Capacity)
  • Cisco 9513 Fiber Channel Fabric with redundant pathing to all connected Hosts (48 host connects)
  • Two IBM Tivoli Storage and IBM Tape Libraries (280 LTO 3 Cartridges / 4 LTO3 Drives)
  • HP Servers (DL360G3, DL360G4, DL380G3, DL380G4, DL385G1, DL585G1 and DL 585G2) Dual Power on all hosts. Advanced Integrated Lights Out (iLo) Remote Management on all HP hosts
  • VMWare Virtual Infrastructure Clusters (6 Nodes - DL385G2 Dual Core Dual Opteron / 32GB Ram / XIOTech FC Storage )
  • Cisco 4050 Switch with Dual Connects to UF Core and Dual Supervisor Engines
  • Liebert 130KVA Uninterrupted Power Supply
