Health Science Center's Annual Service Pin Award Ceremony

The Health Science Center's annual service pin award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the HPNP Auditorium (2nd Floor). For a list of this year's (2008-2009) awardees visit the Employee Recognition website at: http://www.health.ufl.edu/resources_services_Recognition.shtml. This list is based on employees who have completed a five year employment threshold between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.
The service pin program is a University of Florida-sponsored program and, as such, the program recognizes continuous University employment service. As the date of the ceremony nears, some employees may be concerned that an error has been made when their years of service was calculated. Because the program recognizes continuous service and not total years of employment with the University, an employee who has had a break in his/her employment will be recognized with a service pin based on the years of continuous service since the employee was reemployed. Hopefully, this explanation will help with questions.
Please encourage your employees who are scheduled to receive a service pin to attend the ceremony so that the Health Science Center community may recognize their years of service to the University. Should you have any questions, please let me know.
