Important Diversity Dialogue on Nov 14th
Nov 14 2007The HSC Office of Equity and Diversity invites all Faculty to the first in a series of workshops designed to discuss and strategize Equity and Diversity related issues in the UF Health Science Center.
Workshop will also be teleconferenced to UFHSC/Jacksonville Campus (See details below) Workshop is Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 11:00a – 2:00p and includes:
- Keynote Speaker Martha Barnett, JD, UF Distinguished Alumnus, in MBI Auditorium, LG-101A.
Dr. Barnett is the second woman to serve as the American Bar Association’s President and is a champion of minorities in the legal profession. She offers both personal and professional experience advocating for equity and diversity. - Panel Discussion follows in MBI Conference Rooms LG-110A/B (Lunch provided). Panelists include:
- Moderator: Rebecca R. Pauly, MD, Associate Vice President, Health Affairs, Equity & Diversity.
- Douglas J. Barrett, MD, Senior Vice President, Health Affairs
- Cynthia M. Chestnut, DPA, Director, Shands Eastside Community Relations and Education Coordination
